How do I make the best "No-Bake" cookies in the world?

Easy!  First collect your ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 In a medium sized saucepan, mix the sugar, milk, butter, and cocoa.  Bring the mixture to a rolling boil for 90 seconds (a minute and a half).  The time is VERY important!  Under-boiling will cause the cookies not to set, over-boiling will cause them to crumble apart once they've set.

Remove the mixture from heat.  Add in peanut butter, oats, and vanilla extract.  Using a teaspoon, drop dollops of the cookie mix onto wax paper, and let it cool to room temperature.

Tips for success: Don't go cheap on your ingredients.  Avoid "generic" cocoa and peanut butter, and use whole milk.
